The Taylor GS Mini line offers compact acoustic guitars with a smaller Grand Symphony body and shorter scale, made by the world-renowned maker of luxury guitars in Tecate, Mexico. These are semi-massive instruments with the full sound of big guitars and the size of travel guitars that you'll love in the home or on the road.
The front of the GS Mini Koa-e electroacoustic model is made from solid Hawaiian koa, while the sides and back are made from laminated koa. The neck is made of sapele, and of course there is adjustable bracing. On the fingerboard, which is made of ebony wood, you will find 20 frets, the positions are classically marked by mother-of-pearl dots. The instrument is in a natural gloss finish, with a rosette around the soundhole, and binding around the body and neck.
The frets of this guitar are made of NuBone, a synthetic imitation bone material. As a result, the instrument has significantly better sustain and intonation stability. The headstock is made of ebony wood. On the headstock you will find Die-Cast type mechanisms, which are chrome plated.
The guitar's sound is provided by the ES-B active preamp installed in the back of the instrument, which is based on the ES-2 system developed by Taylor, a unique way of sensing sound using three piezo pickups placed behind the neck. The preamp features a three-band EQ, built-in chromatic tuner and a clear LED display.
The guitar comes in a gig bag.
