Limited edition Electro-Acoustic Guitar / HN244513
The Taylor Custom GT 811e limited edition electroacoustic guitar from the American brand Taylor enriches one of the top of the line 800 Series with the compact GT body shape.
The Grand Theater (GT) is essentially a smaller version of the Jumbo Grand Orchestra guitars. The guitar's soundboard is made of solid Sinker Redwood, whose properties the manufacturer exaggeratedly compares to cedar on steroids. It is a wood cut from logs sunk during the Northern California floatation, i.e. the logs were underwater for sometimes more than a hundred years, giving it its impressive grain and unique properties. Indian rosewood on the back and sides enriches the sound with beautifully full, warm bass, while its grain blends perfectly with the top. The sound quality of the guitar is elevated to a higher level by the thin gloss lacquer body (Gloss 4.5) and patented asymmetrical C-Class ribbing (modified V-Class optimized for this body shape).
A West African ebony fingerboard with a distinctive wood grain is glued to the mahogany neck. The guitar's exclusive workmanship is accentuated by a mother-of-pearl (Abalone) rosette, maple body binding, Smoked Nickel tuning machines, ebony veneer on the headstock adorned with mother-of-pearl corporate logo, rosewood pickguard and pearl-eyed bone pegs.
The guitar is fitted with high quality company electronics. The Taylor Expression System 2 uses three specially designed independent piezo pickups located behind the headstock. Unlike conventional pickups, they do not sense the up and down movement of the board, but the natural back and forth vibration of the fingerboard. This makes the sound much more natural, colourful and pleasing, and more responsive to the dynamics of your playing. At the same time, the new preamp makes the signal 25% stronger. Of course, feedback is eliminated and you can adjust the volume, bass and treble.
The instrument comes in a soft case (Aerocase).
