Taylor C14ce B4002

The Custom C14ce B4002 is an electroacoustic guitar from Taylor's top-of-the-line Custom line. This is the Grand Auditorium model, Taylor's original design introduced to the public in 1994, combining the qualities of Dreadnought and Grand Orchestra guitars.

The guitar's soundboard is made of Sinker Redwood, whose properties the manufacturer exaggeratedly compares to cedar on steroids. It is a wood carved from logs sunk during the Northern California floatation, i.e. the logs were underwater for sometimes more than a hundred years, giving it its impressive grain and unique properties. The Sinker Redwood is complemented on the back and sides by exclusive Honduran rosewood with equally impressive wood grain and great sonic properties. The backplate is composed of four pieces (4-piece Simmons wedge).

The sound quality of the guitar is elevated to a higher level by the patented V-Class ribbing, which improves the guitar's characteristics in three aspects - increasing the volume of the instrument, extending the sustain and improving intonation.

The mahogany neck is glued to an ebony fingerboard, which is permeated with an Ocean vine inlay made from the luxurious cocobolo and boxwoods. Stable tuning is ensured by the Gotoh 510 strings in gold finish with cocobolo pegs and ebony bridge. The guitar's luxurious workmanship is accentuated by the shoulder rest and body surround made of exotic cocobolo, decorative rosettes made of cocobolo and boxwood, pegs for the headstock with red dots made of Australian opals and the logo on the headstock made of boxwood.

The guitar is fitted with the company's high-quality Expression System 2 electronics and built-in Taylorsense monitoring system, which will alert you in the event of a problem (humidity, temperature, battery level) via the Taylor Guitars App (iOS) on your phone. The Taylor Expression System 2 uses three specially designed independent piezo pickups located behind the fingerboard. Unlike conventional pickups, they don't sense the up and down movement of the board, but the natural back and forth vibration of the fingerboard. This makes the sound much more natural, colourful and pleasing, and more responsive to the dynamics of your playing. At the same time, the new preamp makes the signal 25% stronger. Of course, feedback is eliminated and you can adjust the volume, bass and treble.
