Taylor Builders Edition 914ce

The Taylor Builder's Edition 914ce Nat is an electro-acoustic guitar from the Builder's Edition line, which brings together top-of-the-line guitars made in El Cajon, California, with many luxurious design features including patented V-Class ribbing. This is a Grand Auditorium, a totally versatile instrument suitable for both pick and fingerstyle playing.

The front of the guitar is made of Lutz spruce, while the back and sides are made of Indian rosewood. This classic combination of high-end materials gives the guitar a balanced balance of warmth and punch. Patented V-Class ribbing improves the guitar's performance in three aspects - increasing the instrument's volume, extending sustain and improving intonation.

The mahogany neck is glued to a 20-fret ebony fingerboard. A subtle contoured lower body cutout provides easy fingerboard control even at higher fretboard positions without having to change the position of the left hand. Tuning stability is guaranteed by the TusQ zero fret string attachment in the ebony headstock and the renowned Gotoh mechanics.

The luxurious workmanship is accentuated by the subtle satin sheen of the body, the impressive Kona Edgeburst finish of the back and sides, the contoured shoulder rest, rounded body and fingerboard edges, mother-of-pearl inlays on the fingerboard and headstock (Paua, Mother-of-Pearl), mother-of-pearl rosette (Paua) with Hawaiian koa inlay, Hawaiian koa fretboard and headstock surround, black line and koa front and backboard surrounds, ebony soundhole trim, Antique Gold hardware, and ebony veneer on the headstock adorned with a mother-of-pearl Taylor logo (Mother of Pearl).

This is a completely unique way of capturing sound that takes the possibilities of realistic sound reproduction to unprecedented dimensions. Three specially designed independent piezoelectric pickups located behind the fingerboard are used for pickups. Unlike conventional pickups, they do not sense the up and down movement of the board, but the natural back and forth vibration of the grasshopper seat. This makes the sound much more natural, colourful, pleasing and responsive to the dynamics of the playing. The new preamp also makes the signal 25% stronger. Of course, feedback is eliminated and the volume, bass and treble can be adjusted.
