Taylor AD14ce 50th Anniversary (opened)

The limited edition 50th Anniversary commemorates fifty years of the American brand Taylor Guitars. It includes the Grand Auditorium AD14ce 50th Anniversary electroacoustic guitar from the American Dream series. It represents the most affordable all-massive Taylor acoustic guitars made in the USA, creating an imaginary divide between the 200 DLX and 300 series.

The guitar's spruce top is adorned with a thin matte lacquer finish and Tobacco Sunburst finish. The use of walnut on the back and sides harkens back to early Taylor designs, while giving the guitar a balanced bass to treble ratio and clearly articulated mids. The patented V-Class ribbing improves the guitar's performance in three aspects - increasing the instrument's volume, extending sustain and improving intonation. The lower body cutaway offers a good finish even at higher fretboard positions.

The mahogany neck is glued to a eucalyptus fingerboard. Orientation on the fingerboard is facilitated by imitation mother-of-pearl position dots and silver side dots. Stable tuning is guaranteed by the attachment of the strings in the company's gold-finished mechanics and the eucalyptus headstock with ebony pegs. Nice workmanship is accentuated by traditional elements in the form of a perimeter trim in imitation ivory and a "firestripe" pickguard in imitation tortoiseshell, which also protects the instrument's lacquer from scratches.

The guitar is equipped with high-quality company electronics. The Taylor Expression System 2 uses three specially designed independent piezo pickups located behind the fingerboard. Unlike conventional pickups, they do not sense the up and down movement of the board, but the natural back and forth vibration of the fingerboard. This makes the sound much more natural, colourful and pleasing, and more responsive to the dynamics of your playing. At the same time, the new preamp makes the signal 25% stronger. Of course, feedback is eliminated and you can adjust the volume, bass and treble.
