Taylor 814e

The Taylor 814e is an electro-acoustic guitar from one of the top of the line 800 models of the American brand Taylor, which represents the top of the line all-massive instruments manufactured in El Cajon, California. It is a Grand Auditorium, i.e. a totally versatile instrument suitable for playing with both pick and finger technique.

The front of the guitar is made of Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made of Indian rosewood. This classic combination of premium materials gives the guitar a balanced balance of warmth and clarity, i.e. beautifully sparkling highs and full bass. The patented V-Class ribbing improves the guitar's performance in three aspects - increasing the instrument's volume, extending sustain and improving intonation.

A Cameroon ebony fingerboard with 20 frets is glued to the mahogany neck. Optimal playing comfort is provided by an ergonomic shoulder rest (a feature newly adopted from the Deluxe series). Tuning stability is guaranteed by the string attachment through the graphite ebony zero fret and the company's nickel mechanics. Other styling features include a maple fretboard complemented by a rosewood fingerboard, a rosette composed of mother-of-pearl (Abalone) and rosewood rings, a rosewood pickguard, decorative mother-of-pearl position markers, ebony pegs for the fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dots, and an ebony veneer headstock adorned with a mother-of-pearl (Mother of Pearl) Taylor logo.

This is a completely unique way of capturing sound that pushes the possibilities of realistic sound reproduction to unprecedented dimensions. Three specially designed independent piezoelectric pickups located behind the fingerboard are used for pickups. Unlike conventional pickups, they don't sense the up and down movement of the board, but the natural back and forth vibration of the grasshopper seat. This makes the sound much more natural, colourful, pleasing and responsive to the dynamics of the playing. The new preamp also makes the signal 25% stronger. Of course, feedback is eliminated and the volume, bass and treble can be adjusted.
