Taylor 724ce KOA

The Taylor 724ce KOA is the ultimate instrument for the discerning musician. Specifically, it is a Grand Auditorium-type electroacoustic guitar, an original Taylor design introduced to the public in 1994 that combines the qualities of Dreadnought and Grand Orchestra guitars. It has a powerful, dynamic, sound balanced across the full range of the frequency spectrum. It represents an ideal choice for players with a wide range of styles who like to switch between playing with a pick and finger technique.

The body of the guitar is made of solid koa. The resonance of the top is enhanced by an ultra-thin matte lacquer finish and patented V-Class ribbing that improves the guitar's performance in three aspects - increasing the instrument's volume, extending sustain and improving intonation.

The mahogany neck is glued to an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty frets, the positions are marked by mother-of-pearl markers in a Fountain design. The fingerboard's higher positions are facilitated by a lower body cutout (Venetian). The strings are anchored in polished bronze mechanicals and an ebony fingerboard. The luxurious workmanship is accentuated by a rosewood fretboard, a rosette composed of rosewood and mother-of-pearl (paua) rings and a stained maple pickguard.

The sound pickup is handled by the Taylor Expression System 2. This is a completely unique pickup method that takes the possibilities of realistic sound reproduction to unprecedented dimensions. Three specially designed independent piezoelectric pickups located behind the fingerboard are used for pickups. Unlike conventional pickups, they don't sense the up and down movement of the board, but the natural back and forth vibration of the grasshopper seat. This makes the sound much more natural, colourful and pleasing, and more responsive to the dynamics of your playing. At the same time, the new preamp makes the signal 25% stronger. Of course, feedback is eliminated and you can adjust the volume, bass and treble.
