The popular Taylor 314CE Grand Auditorium models expand the range of instruments featuring the patented V-Class ribbed design. This design improves the guitar's performance in three aspects - increasing the instrument's volume, extending sustain and improving intonation.
The all-massive body of the 314ce V-Class LH left-handed model is constructed with a Sitka spruce soundboard and sapele back and sides. The mahogany neck is joined by an ebony fingerboard fitted with ornate imitation mother-of-pearl position markers. The rounded lower body cutaway (Venetian Cutaway) provides good compliance even at higher fretboard positions.
The strings are mounted in the company's tuning machines and ebony fingerboard. Other styling features include a black graphite fretboard, black body and fingerboard binding, a rosette consisting of three rings, a practical black pickguard and an ebony headstock veneer adorned with the company's imitation mother-of-pearl logo.
The guitar is equipped with high-quality company electronics. The Taylor Expression System 2 uses three specially designed independent piezo pickups located behind the fingerboard. Unlike conventional pickups, they do not sense the up and down movement of the board, but the natural back and forth vibration of the fingerboard. This makes the sound much more natural, colourful and pleasing, and more responsive to the dynamics of your playing. At the same time, the new preamp makes the signal 25% stronger. Of course, feedback is eliminated and you can adjust the volume, bass and treble.
The instrument comes in a deluxe carrying case.
