The Taylor 314ce SE Rosewood special edition guitar differs from the standard models by combining a Sitka spruce soundboard with an Indian rosewood back and sides. The instrument's sonic qualities are further enhanced by the patented V-Class ribbing, which increases the instrument's volume, extends sustain and improves intonation.
Glued to the mahogany neck is an ebony fingerboard embellished with ornate position markers in imitation mother-of-pearl. A rounded lower body cutout (Venetian) facilitates the touch on the higher positions of the fingerboard. Strings are mounted in the company's die-cast tuning machines and ebony fingerboard. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by a black perimeter binding, a rosette consisting of three rings, nickel hardware and a black pickguard.
The guitar is equipped with high-quality company electronics. The Taylor Expression System 2 uses three specially designed independent piezo pickups located behind the fingerboard. Unlike conventional pickups, they do not sense the up and down movement of the board, but the natural back and forth vibration of the fingerboard. This makes the sound much more natural, colourful and pleasing, and more responsive to the dynamics of your playing. At the same time, the new preamp makes the signal 25% stronger. Of course, feedback is eliminated and you can adjust the volume, bass and treble.
The instrument comes in a carrying case.
