Limited edition Electro-Acoustic Guitar / HN267115
The limited edition 50th Anniversary commemorates fifty years of the American brand Taylor Guitars. It includes a Grand Pacific 217e-SB Plus 50th Anniversary electroacoustic guitar with a similar body shape to the Dreadnought Round Shoulder models.
The front of the guitar is made of torrified, i.e. heat-treated, Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made of laminated rosewood. The vintage character of the golden baked spruce top is accentuated by the chosen sunburst finish. The acoustic qualities of the guitar are raised to a higher level by the new asymmetrical C-Class ribbing (modified V-Class optimized for this body shape).
The mahogany neck is glued to an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty frets. Stable tuning is guaranteed by the strings' attachment in the company's gold-finished (Taylor Gold) mechanics. The nice workmanship is emphasized by traditional elements in the form of imitation mother-of-pearl rosette, position markers in the shape of diamonds, ebony veneer on the headstock, ebony pegs for the headstock with gold dots and black pickguard.
The guitar is fitted with high quality company electronics. The Taylor Expression System 2 uses three specially designed independent piezo pickups located behind the headstock. Unlike conventional pickups, they do not sense the up and down movement of the board, but the natural back and forth vibration of the fingerboard. This makes the sound much more natural, colourful and pleasing, and more responsive to the dynamics of your playing. At the same time, the new preamp makes the signal 25% stronger. Of course, feedback is eliminated and you can adjust the volume, bass and treble.
The instrument is supplied in Aerocase.
