New Electro-Acoustic Guitar / HN279442
British brand Tanglewood introduces more affordable acoustic guitars in retro and modern designs.
The TWX6CEK is an electro-acoustic guitar from the Winterleaf Exotic series in the popular Grand Auditorium body shape, an instrument universally suitable for playing with a pick and finger technique. The solid mahogany soundboard is adorned with a Hawaiian koa veneer top, while the back and sides are made of layered koa with distinctive graining. The nato neck, referred to as "Eastern Mahogany", is glued to an Eboncore composite fingerboard in an ebony finish with twenty-one frets. A practical lower body cutout makes it easy to play at the higher positions of the fingerboard.
Sound reinforcement options include the company's TW Premium Plus preamp with four-band EQ, Phase function and integrated tuner. The strings are held in chrome-plated Grover mechanisms and a composite headstock via NuBone zero and saddle frets. The nice workmanship is accentuated by the double-sided mahogany body binding, mahogany rosette, Mother of Pearl position dots on the fingerboard, center stripe on the back plate and Autumn Burst Gloss finish on the front plate.
