New Electro-Acoustic Guitar / HN273208
British brand Tanglewood introduces more affordable acoustic guitars in retro and modern designs.
The Tanglewood Winterleaf TW4CENA is an electro-acoustic guitar of the "Super Folk" type, i.e. an instrument with a narrower and shallower body than the Dreadnought. The front of the guitar is made of solid cedar, while the back and sides are made of laminated mahogany. The neck made of nato wood, referred to as "Eastern Mahogany", is glued to a fingerboard made of a modern composite material in ebony decor, fitted with twenty frets. A practical lower body cutout makes it easy to play at the higher positions of the fingerboard.
Sound reinforcement options include the company's TW Premium Plus preamp with four-band EQ, Phase function and built-in tuner. Strings are held in chrome die-cast mechanics and a composite headstock via NuBone zero and saddle frets. The nice workmanship is accentuated by the maple body binding, maple rosette and mother-of-pearl position dots on the fingerboard.
