British brand Tanglewood introduces more affordable acoustic guitars in retro and modern designs.
The Tanglewood TSC4CE from the Sundance Classic series is an electro-acoustic guitar of the "Super Folk" type, i.e. an instrument with a narrower and shallower body than, for example, the Dreadnought. The front of the guitar is made of solid cedar, the back of solid mahogany and the sides of laminated mahogany. The mahogany neck is attached to the body with a dovetail joint. Twenty frets divide the fretboard area made of fig wood.
The strings are held in chrome-plated tuning machines and a figwood fingerboard via the NuBone zero and saddle frets. The nice workmanship is accentuated by the double-sided maple body binding, mother-of-pearl rosette (Abalone), mother-of-pearl position dots on the fingerboard and a center stripe on the back plate.
Sound reinforcement options include LR Baggs Bronze electronics with volume control, three-band equalizer, built-in tuner, and Notch and Phase controls to address any sound/phase and feedback issues.
