Supro Ambassador Custom Burgundy Gold Scandia

The Supro Ambassador Custom is a 50-watt, single-channel all-amp combo with a retro Valco-inspired mid-century design. It is a guitar combo handcrafted in the USA with premium components (Mercury Magnetics transformers, Mallory capacitors, paired EHX tubes, tube-driven spring reverb and a pair of BD10 Supro by Celestion speakers).

With a massive headroom, the combo offers awesome clean tones that only start to turn into a warm overdrive at the highest volume, the clean sound of the combo also provides an ideal platform for pedal effects. This makes the Ambassador Custom an ideal choice for a wide range of players of different styles (rock, pop, funk, country, jazz, R&B...).

The preamp of the combo is equipped with three 12AX7 tubes. You can adjust the character of the sound using the three-band EQ, the Vol preamp control, the Verb built-in spring reverb and the Master Volume end amp. The Master Volume is positioned in the circuit to preserve both the frequency response and the dynamic interaction between the tube preamp, the 12AT7 tube-driven spring reverb, and the end stage.

The switchable Class A (35 Watt) and Class AB (50 Watt) end amplifiers, along with the EHX 5881/6L6WGC end tubes, offer natural tube compression and ultra-low noise even at high volume. The Class A mod offers a traditional Supro sound with more pronounced mids, the Class AB "California sound" with more suppressed mids and tighter bass.

The quality of workmanship is underlined by the stylish retro design of the combo with a poplar cabinet. Single footswitch included.

The American brand Supro was at the very beginning of rock & roll. The first period of the brand dates between 1935 and 1968, when many artists played on Supro machines, and they enjoyed a certain popularity even after the end of production (among the bands and artists, let's mention Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones or David Bowie). Recently, there has been a resurgence of the brand, with stylish vintage guitar designs being revived.
