Suhr Mateus Asato Signature Antique Shell Pink HSS

In a relatively short period of time, Suhr electric guitars have gained a considerable reputation among top instrumentalists and all musicians with the highest demands for quality workmanship and sound.

The Mateus Asato Signature is the signature ST model of a young Brazilian guitarist who has gone from Instagram star to sideman for contemporary pop stars. The guitar's alder body is decorated with a Shell Pink finish and a thin nitrocellulose lacquer. A rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two stainless steel (.051 "x.108") frets is glued to a bolted-on Roasted Maple neck. The Even C Medium neck profile and compound fingerboard radius (9 - 12 inches) also contribute to the instrument's excellent playability.

A signature humbucker and two single-coils give the guitar a superbly clear dynamic sound with a modern "made by Suhr" fretboard - and thanks to SSCII technology, it's completely free of the characteristic annoying single-coil noise. Standard sound adjustments include a volume knob, two tone controls and a five-position pickup switch.



Stability of tuning, excellent sustain and fast string changes are guaranteed by the TusQ zero fret strings mounted in the company's 18:1 ratio locking gears and Gotoh 510 tremolo. The stylishness of the instrument is emphasized by the three-layer pickguard in Aged Green, chrome hardware and laser engravings (artist's silhouette on the neck plate and signature on the back of the headstock).

John Suhr has over 35 years of musical instrument building experience under his belt, during which time he has made a deep mark on the musical community with top-of-the-line "Pensa-Suhr" (as a guitar builder) guitar and bass models that have been played by Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Peter Frampton, Lou Reed, and many others in the 1980s, or as a Senior Master Builder in the Fender Custom Shop in the 1990s. However, John didn't have complete control over the entire manufacturing process, so in 1997 he decided to start his own Suhr brand. So you can be assured of the highest possible standards of quality when it comes to Suhr guitars, basses, instruments or pedal effects.
