In a relatively short period of time, Suhr electric guitars have gained a considerable reputation among top instrumentalists and all musicians with the highest demands for quality workmanship and sound.

The Suhr Classic S Vintage LE, Firemist Gold, HSS is an electric guitar from the limited edition Classic S Vintage series. It features a three-piece alder body covered in lacquer with totally subtle aging/light aging elements. Glued to the baked maple neck with 60's C Vintage Standard profile (.810"-.930") is a rosewood fingerboard fitted with medium nickel frets (Medium Nickel .055 "x.090"). The compound radius of the fingerboard (9-12 inches) ensures great playability and finish across the entire fingerboard.

The combination of a Suhr SSV cobbler humbucker and two Suhr V63+ single-coil pickups gives the guitar a sound with a modern Strat feel "made by Suhr" as well as the vintage tones of traditional ST style pickups. A volume knob, two tone controls and a five-position pickup switch are used for standard sound adjustments. Push/Push the tone diaphragm control to split the humbucker coils and change the sound purely to single-coil.

Tuning stability is guaranteed by the TusQ zero-fret string attachment in the Gotoh Kluson tuning machines and the vintage-style Wilkinson Year One tremolo with six-point attachment.

The guitar comes in a high quality deluxe gig bag.

John Suhr has over 35 years of musical instrument building experience under his belt, during which time he has made a deep mark on the musical community with top of the line "Pensa-Suhr" (as guitar builder) guitars and basses that have been played by Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Peter Frampton, Lou Reed and many others in the 80's, or as a Senior Master Builder in the Fender Custom Shop in the 90's. However, John didn't have complete control over the entire manufacturing process, so in 1997 he decided to start his own Suhr brand. So you can be assured of the highest possible standards of quality when it comes to Suhr guitars, basses, instruments or pedal effects.
