In a relatively short period of time, Suhr electric guitars have gained a considerable reputation among top instrumentalists and all musicians with the highest demands for quality workmanship and sound.
The Classic S model is a guitar that you won't let go of. The alder body of the instrument is covered with an ultra-thin layer of lacquer. A maple fingerboard with twenty-two stainless steel frets (.055 "x.090") is glued to the bolted maple neck. The 60's C Vintage Standard neck profile and compound fingerboard radius (9-12 inches) contribute to the instrument's great playing characteristics.
Three Suhr V60LP single-coil pickups with Alnico V "Special" magnets give the guitar a superbly clean sound with a modern Strat fretboard "made by Suhr" - and thanks to SSCII technology, completely free of the characteristic annoying single-coil noise. Standard sound adjustments include a volume knob, two tone controls and a five-position pickup switch.
Tuning stability, great sustain and fast string changes are guaranteed by the TusQ zero fret string attachment in the company's 18:1 ratio locking gears and Gotoh 510 tremolo.
The guitar comes in a gig bag.
John Suhr has over 35 years of musical instrument manufacturing experience under his belt, during which time he has made a deep mark on the musical community with the top of the line "Pensa-Suhr" (as guitar builder) guitars and basses that have been played by Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Peter Frampton, Lou Reed and many others in the 80's, or as a Senior Master Builder in the Fender Custom Shop in the 90's. However, John didn't have complete control over the entire manufacturing process, so in 1997 he decided to start his own Suhr brand. So you can be assured of the highest possible standards of quality when it comes to Suhr guitars, basses, instruments or pedal effects. Permanent clients of the Suhr brand include Peter Frampton, Michael Landau, Scott Henderson and Doug Aldrich.
