In a relatively short period of time, Suhr electric guitars have gained a considerable reputation among top instrumentalists and all musicians with the highest demands for quality workmanship and sound.

The Suhr Classic S Antique model is a classic double-cut (ST) model that you will not let go of. The alder body of the instrument is covered by an ultra-thin nitro lacquer, and the subtle patina gives the instrument the feel of an already well-proven concert partner - even though it is, of course, a brand new piece. Twenty-two Medium (.055" x .090") stainless steel frets divide the maple fingerboard surface. The 60's C Vintage Medium (.830" - .950") maple neck profile and compound fingerboard radius (9-12 inches) also contribute to the instrument's excellent playability.

The combination of a Suhr SSV humbucker and two Suhr V63 single-coil pickups with Alnico V Special magnets gives the guitar a superbly clean sound with a modern Strat fret "made by Suhr" - and thanks to SSCII technology, it's completely free of the characteristic annoying single-coil noise. Standard sound adjustments include a volume knob, two tone controls and a five-position pickup switch.

Tuning stability, excellent sustain and fast string changes are guaranteed by the TusQ zero-fret string attachment in the company's 18:1 ratio locking gears and Gotoh 510 tremolo.

John Suhr has over 35 years of musical instrument manufacturing experience under his belt, during which time he has made a deep mark on the musical community with the top of the line "Pensa-Suhr" (as guitar builder) guitars and basses that have been played by Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Peter Frampton, Lou Reed and many others in the 80's, or as a Senior Master Builder in the Fender Custom Shop in the 90's. However, John didn't have complete control over the entire manufacturing process, so in 1997 he decided to start his own Suhr brand. So you can be assured of the highest possible standards of quality when it comes to Suhr guitars, basses, instruments or pedal effects.
