Electric guitars and basses of the American brand Suhr have gained a considerable reputation among top instrumentalists and all musicians with the highest demands for quality workmanship and sound in a relatively short time.
The Classic J model is a Jazz Bass that you certainly won't let out of your hand. The alder body of the instrument is covered with an ultra-thin layer of lacquer. The bolted maple neck is glued to an Indian rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty stainless steel frets (.051 "x.108"). The Vintage J neck profile and 7.25-inch fingerboard radius contribute to the instrument's great playing characteristics.
Two single-coil Suhr Classic J pickups give the bass a great sound. Two volume knobs and a tone potentiometer are used for standard sound adjustments.
Tuning stability, great sustain and fast string changes are guaranteed by the TusQ zero-fret string attachment in the Hipshot mechanics and the Gotoh Vintage Jazz Bridge headstock.
The bass comes in a gig bag.
John Suhr has over 35 years of musical instrument building experience under his belt, during which time he has made a deep mark on the musical community with the top of the line "Pensa-Suhr" (as guitar builder) guitars and basses that have been played by Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Peter Frampton, Lou Reed and many others in the 80's, or as a Senior Master Builder in the Fender Custom Shop in the 90's. However, John didn't have complete control over the entire manufacturing process, so in 1997 he decided to start his own Suhr brand. So you can be assured of the highest possible standards of quality when it comes to Suhr guitars, basses, instruments or pedal effects. Permanent clients of the Suhr brand include Peter Frampton, Michael Landau, Scott Henderson and Doug Aldrich.
