Strymon Riverside uses a hybrid design combining analog JFET and DSP in high quality 24-bit/96 kHz - so the sound always retains its natural character and dynamics whether the distortion is subtle or extreme.

The Drive and Level controls are used to control distortion intensity and output volume. The Gain switch allows you to choose between two pedal modes - Low with a gain structure ranging from low to medium gain, where, in conjunction with the Drive control cranked to max, you can pull the sound of a properly wound vintage machine out of the box, and High where the relatively cleaner sound transitions to a saturated distortion/distortion. The Push switch offers a frequency-neutral response in the Norm position or a midrange boost in the Mid position. The character of the tone is traditionally fine-tuned with the three-band EQ and Presence switch.

Simply save your favourite settings and quickly recall them by pressing the Favorite switch. Use the Boost connector to connect an external switch (not included) to the pedal effect and boost the signal by up to 6 dB (adjust the gain with the secondary Boost Level function of the Level control). You can connect your expression pedal via the EXP connector and control any parameter, and in Volume Mode you can also control the volume via the EXP connector. Unwanted noise is filtered out thanks to the secondary (Noise Reduction) function of the Drive control.

All electronics are housed in a robust chassis made of anodized aluminium. The box can be wired as true bypass or analog buffered bypass. Use the included 9V adapter for power.
