All Strymon V2 effects offer MIDI compatibility and MIDI control, including MIDI clock sync and access to 300 presets via MIDI, USB-C for MIDI-over-USB and firmware updates, TRS full stereo inputs with mono/stereo input switch, new Strymon Class A JFET preamp, as well as a powerful new 520MHz ARM processor.

El Capistan V2 faithfully emulates the typical tape echo sound with all its warmth, saturation and natural compression. The pedal effect offers three types of tape echoes - each with three modes and a wide range of settings (sound, tape quality, overall device condition). Using the controls, you can adjust the character of the echo (delay time, number of repeats, dry/wet signal mix), as well as the effect of moving mechanical parts on the sound (Wow & Flutter) and the age of the tape (Tape Age and the secondary functions Tape Crinkle and Tape Bias). A new feature is a spring reverb to add another dimension to the sound.

The expression pedal input allows you to connect an external TRS expression pedal, MiniSwitch/MultiSwitch Plus switches, or TRS MIDI connections. All electronics are housed in a durable yet lightweight aluminum chassis. The Strymon El Capistan V2 offers a choice between true bypass and buffered bypass circuitry.
