Strymon Big Sky MX

Strymon Big Sky MX represents the next evolutionary step in the development of reverb effects from the innovative American brand Strymon. Big Sky MX offers twelve types of reverb effects, including seven brand new algorithms and improved versions of familiar reverbs from earlier versions of Big Sky. Now, two types of reverb effects can be used simultaneously, both in serial, parallel and split mode. Impulse and Chamber have been created specifically for Big Sky MX, while Spring, Plate, Hall, Room and Shimmer have completely reimagined algorithms, yet still offer you access to the original Big Sky voicings. You'll get the BigSky MX with twenty-two recorded stereo IRs already, including a collection of carefully captured echoes of top-of-the-line analog studio gear. At the same time, you'll get a host of tools at your fingertips for real-time IR editing - set the envelope for an effect decay, throw a gate on a reverb reverb, rotate the entire IR, resample and shorten or lengthen the IR, and create areas of infinite sustain by pressing the Infinite footswitch.

Of course, the pedal effect's superior sound is provided by a tri-core 800 MHz ARM processor, A/D D/A: 24-bit, 96 kHz DACs, and a pure analog dry signal path. You can also rely on stereo I/O with Class A JFET input preamps, preset changing and parameter control via MIDI (MIDI over USB, TRS or DIN connectors), the ability to change effect parameters in real time with an external expression pedal (not included) and a number of features such as the aforementioned sustain (Infinite), or the Freeze function, where you literally freeze a motif in time and then paint new layers of tones and chords onto its surface like a painter.

The guitar effect offers optional true bypass/buffered bypass circuitry. A 9VDC, 500mA (minimum) adapter is required to power the BigSky MX.
