The Sigma SGPC-10E is a full-massive electro-acoustic guitar of the Grand Auditorium type, which with its quality of workmanship and playing and sound characteristics can certainly appeal to professional guitarists with high demands. Because of the playing comfort of the medium-sized body and balanced sound, GA models are popular among musicians who play with their fingers and picks.
The front of the guitar is made of solid Sitka spruce, the back and sides of solid pau ferro. The combination of these woods guarantees a clear, resonant, balanced sound across the entire frequency range and great dynamic response. A micarta composite fingerboard is glued to the mahogany neck, which is attached to the body with a Dovetail Neck Joint at the fourteenth fret as standard.
The guitar's sound system is provided by an L.R. Baggs EAS-VTC preamp with a subwoofer piezo pickup and Volume and Tone controls discreetly placed in the instrument's soundhole. The strings are anchored in Grover open nickel mechanicals with Butterbean pegs. The zero fret and compensated bone saddle ensure ideal vibration transfer of the strings. The stylishness of the instrument is underlined by traditional elements in the form of a pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell, rosette, perimeter body trim and the company logo on the headstock.
