The Sigma SGJK-SG200 is a full-massive Grand Jumbo electro-acoustic guitar from the higher-end Custom Guitars series that is sure to appeal to even the most demanding musicians with its craftsmanship, premium materials and playing characteristics. Like many other Sigma instruments, this guitar draws inspiration from famous Gibson designs.
The front of the guitar is made from solid AA quality European spruce, while the back and sides are made from solid AAA quality Hawaiian koa. The combination of these woods guarantees an absolutely premium sound. An ebony fingerboard is glued to the mahogany neck, which is attached to the body with a Dovetail Neck Joint at the fourteenth fret as standard. Orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by decorative position markers in the shape of crowns.
The strings are mounted in Grover Die-Cast mechanisms in gold finish and ebony fingerboard. The zero fret and compensated bone saddle ensure ideal vibration transmission of the strings. The luxurious workmanship is accentuated by a burnished glossy finish on the body, a pickguard decorated with graphic motifs familiar from Gibson SJ-200 models, a moustache-shaped fingerboard, double-sided perimeter body binding, backplate decoration and the company logo and mother-of-pearl motif on the headstock.
The guitar's sound system is provided by an L.R. Baggs EAS-VTC preamp with a subwoofer piezo pickup and Volume and Tone controls subtly placed in the instrument's soundhole. The guitar comes in a handy soft case.
