All of the S Series 15 guitars are mahogany and are all-massive instruments that will continue to age with age. Also glued to the mahogany neck, which is attached to the body at the fourteenth fret as standard, is a micarta composite fingerboard fitted with twenty frets. Both the zero and saddle frets are made of real bone, a material that not only gives the instrument excellent reverberation but also helps maintain tuning stability. This is done using vintage-style open nickel mechanics with synthetic ivory pegs.
The guitar is fitted with a Fishman sub-coil piezo pickup with active preamp, which features three-band corrections, a Phase button to eliminate feedback and a built-in tuner.
