The Sigma JA-SG200 is a semi-massive Dreadnought with round shoulders (Slope/Round Shoulder) from the brand's special edition, which with its quality of workmanship and sound and playing characteristics will please even players with high demands. Like many other Sigma instruments, this guitar draws inspiration from famous Gibson designs.
The guitar's front is made from solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made from laminated flamed maple with a wood grain backed by a Vintage Sunburst finish. A Micarta composite fingerboard is glued to the mahogany neck, attached to the body with a Dovetail Neck Joint at the 14th fret as standard. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by decorative position blocks in the shape of crowns.
The strings are mounted in Gotoh Die-Cast mechanisms in gold finish and a micarta headstock. The zero fret and compensated bone saddle guarantee ideal vibration transmission of the strings. The stylish look of the guitar is accentuated by the glossy lacquer top, pickguard decorated with graphic motifs familiar from Gibson SJ-200 models, white body binding complemented by black lines, backplate decoration and logo on the headstock.
The guitar's sound is provided by a Fishman Sonitone preamp with Volume and Tone controls subtly placed in the instrument's soundhole. The instrument comes in a practical soft case.
