The Sigma DTC-STE-MF semi-massive electro-acoustic guitar in the popular Dreadnought shape will please all players for whom standard acoustic guitar necks are too narrow - it offers a neck with a 48 mm wide zero fret (the MF in the name stands for "max fret"). This is a well-made instrument with good playing and sound characteristics, which, thanks to the absence of significant design accessories, i.e. everything that does not affect the sound of the instrument, you can get at an affordable price.
The guitar's soundboard is made of solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made of plywood. This gives the guitar a bright, clear sound with good dynamic response. The mahogany neck is glued to a micarta composite fingerboard with twenty frets, and orientation around the fingerboard is traditionally facilitated by position markers. A convenient lower body cutout makes it easier to reach the higher positions of the fingerboard.
The instrument's sound system is provided by a proprietary piezo pickup housed in the guitar's soundboard. The strings are mounted in the company's chrome Die-Cast tuning machines and in a micarta headstock. The zero fret and compensated bone saddle guarantee ideal vibration transmission of the strings. The simple rosette, black pickguard and logo on the headstock add to the austere design.
