The Sigma DT-42 Nashville is a semi-massive dreadnought-type electro-acoustic guitar from the brand's special edition, which will please even players with high demands in terms of quality of workmanship, sound and playability.
The guitar's front plate is made of solid Sitka spruce, the back plate and sides of plywood. This gives the guitar a sonorous, frequency-balanced sound and good dynamic response in both vigorous and very quiet, subtle playing. A micarta composite fingerboard is glued to the mahogany neck, which is attached to the body with a Dovetail Neck Joint at the fourteenth fret as standard. Orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by decorative position markers.
The guitar's sound is provided by a Fishman Sonitone preamp with Volume and Tone controls subtly placed in the instrument's soundhole. The strings are mounted in high quality open Grover mechanics in gold finish with Butterbean pegs and a micarta fingerboard. The zero fret and compensated bone saddle ensure ideal vibration transmission of the strings. The fine workmanship is accentuated by the burnished gloss finish of the black body, the white body surround complemented by a decorative pickguard, the rosette composed of mother-of-pearl rings, the backplate decoration and the company logo on the headstock.
