The Sigma DA-SG7 is a semi-massive electro-acoustic guitar in the popular Dreadnought shape from the SG series. The instruments in this series draw inspiration from Gibson's famous acoustic guitars, in this case the Gibson Dove.
The guitar's front plate is made of solid Sitka spruce, while the back plate and sides are made of veneered flamed maple with a characteristic distinctive wood grain. The maple neck is glued to a micarta composite fingerboard with twenty frets, and orientation around the fingerboard is facilitated by parallelogram-shaped position blocks.
The guitar's sound system is provided by a Fishman Sonitone preamp with controls in the instrument's soundboard and a Fishman Sonicore subwoofer. The strings are mounted in nickel tuning machines with imitation ivory pegs and a micarta fingerboard. The zero fret and compensated bone saddle ensure ideal vibration transmission of the strings. The stylish look of the guitar is accentuated by a pickguard decorated with graphic motifs familiar from the Dove model, a white body binding with black lines and a logo on the headstock.
The guitar comes in a soft case.
