Jimi Hendrix Signature Strat neck/midrange pickup from Seymour Duncan. The Jimi Hendrix Signature Strat single coil pickups were modeled after Hendrix's 1968 Stratocaster. They are fitted with Alnico 5 magnets and have a resistance of 6.07 kOhm. Each has its own custom-designed winding, which together gives them a richer, more melodic tone.
The grasshopper model will provide an aggressive attack, so it will surprise with its piercing sound. The neck/center model, on the other hand, has a thicker and fuller sound that's great for rhythm playing, blues solos, and Hendrix's signature hybrid style combining chords and melodies. At Seymour Duncan, they are also mindful of historical authenticity, so the center pickup, like Hendrix's from 1968, is not RWPR (i.e., it has no reverse winding and reverse polarity).
To get as close to Hendrix's tone as possible, each pickup is made with an inverted magnet layout, so it sounds like you're playing a right-handed guitar upside-down, as left-handed Hendrix did. The white pickup covers are decorated with the guitarist's signature.
