Sandberg California TM electric basses are instruments based on the time-tested Jazz Bass design concept. Like other Sandberg instruments, these are made in Germany from premium materials by a team of highly experienced guitar builders. There's really no need to worry about quality here.
The body of this bass is made from pavlovnia, a wood without sap that has been used for many centuries for the manufacture of instruments and offers perfect attack. The neck is made from Canadian maple and is bolted on with six screws, which keep it in a completely accurate position. The fingerboard is made of Pau Ferro wood and features 22 frets. The gauge of the instrument is 864 millimetres. The advantage of the wood used is also a very favourable weight - the bass weighs only 3.6 kilograms.
The guitar is equipped with two single-coil pickups and offers a very impressive "JB" sound. Volume potentiometer, Balance, passive tone shutter and active two-band EQ can be used to adjust the sound.
The headstock is typically solid with separate stones and made by Sandberg. On the other side of the bass we find Sandberg tuning machines.
