All Sandberg basses are made in Germany by a team of experienced guitar builders and you can be assured of great workmanship, playability and sound with each one. This makes them some of the most sought-after instruments that many a bassist can swear by.
This bass is based on the California series, but has been heavily modified to achieve a specific sound. The body is made of alder and the neck is made of Canadian maple, which is secured with six screws for added stability. This proven combination is complemented by a Pau Ferro fingerboard, fitted with 22 frets. An interesting feature is the extended menus of 889 millimetres.
Another difference from the standard models is the Tone Capsule preamplifier from the renowned Darkglass company, and the great sound is further ensured by a pair of Sandberg PLUS TM pickups. The high-quality hardware is in an attractive Gunmetal Grey finish that blends perfectly with the bass's matte black lacquer, and the body of the instrument is protected by a stylish Plexiglas pickguard.
