The Roland VC-1-DMX is an automatic dynamic video converter that will take care of your light show at a party, club party, concert or business presentation. Whether you're the promoter or the performer, the VC-1-MX does the work for you and without you, while you can get on with whatever else you need to do. With this converter, it's never been easier to bring professional-level lighting effects to any event.
The VC-1-DMX automatically generates control commands for your DMX lighting setup based on inputs from video and audio sources, eliminating the need for dedicated lighting operators. Color and brightness change based on the current video image, and the lights and mirror balls work in sync with the tempo of the music. And if you do want to get involved and dive deeper into the possibilities, the VC-1-DMX supports external control via MIDI from hardware controllers, electronic musical instruments and computer production software.
Connect video, audio and MIDI sources to the VC-1-DMX for automatic conversion and distribution to all DMX devices. You can even daisy chain multiple lighting devices and control them simultaneously. There are four channel maps using dip switches to control 512 channels of DMX signals, and you can customize them all from your computer using the VC-1-DMX Setup Tool.
HDMI video signals are analyzed in up to 32 color regions and converted to brightness information for each color. You can then assign colors to DMX channels for synchronized control. For example, if a video image is divided horizontally into eight segments and assigned to eight DMX lighting devices lined up horizontally, the lighting will perfectly track the horizontal movement of the video image.
The VC-1-DMX version 2.1 update brings powerful enhancements for better lighting control, including a new Color Enhance feature. Audio Link and Audio Input Sensitivity functions have also been added to enhance presentations by synchronizing lighting brightness with audio input level.
