And with 26 multi-function pads, you have a keyboard with a range of more than two octaves, a step sequencer interface, and plenty of creative options to spark new ideas.

The S-1 is ready to take classic SH tones to new dimensions. Build from square, saw, sub and noise oscillators and mono, poly, unison and chord modes. Or create custom curve shapes on step pads using the powerful OSC Draw feature. The OSC Chop feature unlocks even greater harmonic potential, allowing you to split samples into sections and explore a whole labyrinth of metallic tones. You can then add slides and pulsating sound effects to your tones using the Noise Oscillator as an independent riser.

Sequencing with inspiration.
With the S-1 Sequencer ' s 64 steps and 64 patters, you can create captivating music in no time. Record live using the built-in keyboard or switch to step mode for detailed note entry and editing. With motion recording, you can animate patterns using the panel controls or set parameter values for individual steps. Then dive into probability settings for random selection, sub-steps for fast rhythms, and other features like velocity, shuffle, portamento, and more to bring your music to life.

The S-1 is packed with features that inspire dynamic performances. With the D-Motion feature, you can create compelling sound changes simply by moving the synth itself. Turn on the arpeggiator to take care of cascading musical moments. Trigger the Step Loop function for lively transitions and rhythmic improvisation on the fly. And transpose patterns with a few quick touches to instantly add harmonic saturation to jams.
