The popular Roland RD-88 digital stage piano comes in an updated EX version. This instrument embodies all the features that have made the RD series pianos a stage standard since 1986. Roland's cutting-edge sound technologies, led by the SuperNATURAL and ZEN-Core sound units, versatile controller features, and superior playability thanks to the balanced PHA-4 hammer-action keyboard intersect in a unique and perfectly tuned instrument that doesn't lack compact size and is ready for any event.

The powerful sound engine offers a wide variety of rich and characterful piano sounds, including the recently developed SuperNATURAL Acoustic Piano 3 extension. If you're a fan of electric pianos, you'll marvel at the amazingly accurate replicas of vintage icons from the 60s, 70s and 80s. The second portion of the register consists of thousands of non-keyboard ZEN-Core sounds, so you can handle all types of gigs with ease with a single keyboard. Whether you're reaching for organ presets, synths, strings, wind instruments or world music sounds, rest assured that the samples are of the highest quality. There's also a wide range of effects ready to enrich your sounds with everything from basic studio colours to intense overdubs.

Thanks to the efficient layout of the RD control panel, you can quickly recall sound categories, save settings to Scenes, and switch to the main piano sound with a single touch. Multi-function controls provide convenient access to volume levels and many other parameters.

The instrument features three zones for creating layers and the ability to work with internal or external sounds, or a combination of both. With a built-in USB audio/MIDI interface and a dedicated control profile for Apple MainStage, it's easy to integrate virtual instruments and studio tracks within your stage performances.

The RD-88 EX's lightweight and rugged design makes it easy to carry anywhere you want to play. Built-in stereo speakers produce rich, room-filling sound, so there's no need for an external amplifier for home practice, rehearsals and small-venue performances.
