Crowning it all is an advanced PHA-50 keyboard with hammer-action mechanics combining wood and molded materials for unmatched playability, plus advanced controller features that let you manipulate sounds and integrate the world of software and hardware through an intuitive, hands-on workflow.

In addition to the basic V-Piano instrument, the RD-2000 EX expands your creative possibilities with two V-Piano Expansion titles. Ideal for solo work and ensemble performance, the German Concert Expansion offers a new versatile sound inspired by famous concert-class pianos, while the second Essential Upright model delivers a more intimate sound with distinctive tones and the unique spatial quality of a high-end piano. Of course, there is also a diverse selection of iconic electric pianos powered by Roland's renowned SuperNATURAL engine. You'll also get an authentic recreation of the RD-1000, the groundbreaking instrument that launched the success of the RD series in 1986, and another classic sound module , the MKS-20, which has been heard on countless hits since the mid-1980s. Is it not enough? Then rest assured that hundreds more sounds await you, headed by the ToneWheel virtual organ (derived from the VK series, complete with rotary effect and authentic cue control via sliders on the panel) or modern and vintage synths as well as traditional string, brass and wind instruments and world music sounds.

Several vintage-style effects will add distinctive colour to your production, including accurate recreations of the BOSS CE-1 Chorus Ensemble pedal and the Roland SDD-320 Dimension D studio rack unit.

A panel full of potentiometers, buttons, and sliders with LED indicators provides perfect control. Eight assignable zones allow you to map sounds to different key ranges or create combined sounds with up to eight layers. With the Scenes function, you can store 100 scenes containing all keyboard settings and recall them with a single touch.

The RD-2000 EX features a USB audio/MIDI interface and support for Apple MainStage control, allowing you to work with virtual instruments and studio tracks alongside the RD's internal sounds. The interface supports professional-quality 24-bit/192kHz audio processing.

Are you an owner of a previous RD-2000 model? The available upgrade to Roland Cloud will equip your original model with EX specifications, including German Concert and Essential Upright V-Piano Expansion titles.

A DP-10 damper pedal is included. The classic RPU-3 three pedal must be purchased separately.
