Rode NT1 Kit

The RODE NT1 is an ultra-quiet 1" condenser studio microphone with internal Lyre Rycote suspension. In the Kit version, it comes with the SM6 cushioned spider, which also includes a pop filter.

Capsule
At the heart of the NT1 microphone is RODE's new HF6 capsule , which is a perfect example of how traditional design, modern technology and a sound reminiscent of famous microphones can be combined into one. And all this with extremely low noise operation. The emphasis was placed on the most faithful rendering of the midrange. This, together with silky highs and warm, round bass, sets the NT1 up to be the absolute standard in its class.

Internal suspension
Inside the microphone body you'll find a new microphone capsule suspension that uses Rycote®'s patented Lyra technology. This internal shock mount isolates the HF6 capsule in the X, Y and Z axis and exhibits a better cushioning result than conventional systems. Thus, handling motion is significantly reduced. This is the first time this system has been used in a RODE microphone.

Electronics
The NT1 electronics consist of high quality components. The microphone circuits are assembled and tested by machine, under the supervision of experienced engineers at the RODE factory in Australia. This meticulous manufacturing process has resulted in the quietest microphone ever - only 4.5dBA of self-noise. The NT1 is the world's quietest studio condenser microphone!

Body and finish
The NT1's high-quality aluminium (6061) body is nickel-plated against corrosion before spraying. The actual spraying is done using an advanced electrostatic application technique that ensures uniform colour coverage. The baked-on surface of the spray is then laser-finished with graphic elements, including the typical gold dot known from all RODE microphones. This process makes the NT1 body strong and highly scratch-resistant.

POP filter
RODE spared no expense in the manufacture of the pop filter, which is part of the SM6's spring-loaded mount. It is part of the basket's support system, and thanks to this it can be very easily adjusted to the desired position and does not take up unnecessary space.
