Paul Reed Smith's PRS guitars are among the most versatile and reliable instruments ever made. Thanks to their great sound and playing comfort, they have been favoured by Santana and Mark Tremonti, for example.
The SE Santana SY Santana Yellow double cut electric guitar is Carlos Santana's signature model from the more affordable SE line. The mahogany body of the instrument is decorated with a maple top with a spectacular veneer of flamed maple and the Santana Yellow finish. A rosewood fingerboard with twenty-four frets is glued to a mahogany neck with a Wide Fat profile. Position markers in the form of mother-of-pearl bird silhouettes facilitate orientation on the fingerboard.
A pair of Santana "S" humbuckers give the guitar a warm, concrete sound that will conjure up both typical Santana solos and thick rock overdrive. The tone color can be manipulated using the tone diaphragm, volume and three-position pickup switch potentiometers. The strings are housed in a patented PRS tremolo, and tuning stability is guaranteed by high-quality PRS mechanics. The guitar comes in a gig bag.
SE marked instruments are made in Indonesia. However, you don't have to worry about their quality - manufacturing standards and careful output control are a matter of course.
