The SE DGT [BIRDS] McCarty Tobacco Sunburst electric guitar is a signature model of David Grissom, a guitarist known for his work with J. Mellencamp and the Allman Brothers. The design is based on the McCarthy model, with changes in the form of the original DGT neck profile, longer frets (and menza) and signature pickups.
The mahogany body of the guitar is decorated with a maple top and a fancy veneer of flamed maple. The Shallow Violin carve brings the instrument's playing quality closer to the more expensive American Core Series models. Glued to the mahogany neck is a rosewood fingerboard fitted with position markers in the form of mother-of-pearl bird silhouettes.
Two signature DGT "S" humbuckers give the guitar a dynamic sound with an unmistakable vintage touch. Its character can be altered with two volume potentiometers, a tone shutter with push/pull function (splitting the humbucker coils to achieve a single-coil sound) and a three-position pickup switch. The strings are held in a patented PRS tremolo and the company's tuning machines. The guitar comes in a gig bag.
SE marked instruments are made in Indonesia. However, you don't have to worry about their quality - manufacturing standards and careful output control are a matter of course.
