PRS McCarty 594 electric guitars from the S2 series are made in Stevensville, USA. These are instruments with the soul of vintage guitars, traditional PRS body design and great playing characteristics.
The mahogany body of the S2 McCarty 594 Honey Gold Burst guitar with its characteristic PRS double-cut design is adorned with a maple top with an impressive pattern that is accentuated by the gloss lacquer and the chosen colour finish. Thanks to the wider mahogany back, the guitar has a full tone and rich sustain, while the distinctly beveled body edges promote overall playing ergonomics.
The mahogany neck with Pattern Vintage profile is fitted with a rosewood fingerboard with twenty-two frets. Of course, the guitar's shorter gauge (625 mm) is embodied in the McCarty 594 model designation (24.594 inches). Position markers in the form of mother-of-pearl bird silhouettes facilitate orientation on the fingerboard.
New to the S2 model line for 2024 are "vintage-inspired" 58/15 LT ("low turn") pickups, which offer a beautifully clean articulate sound with the warmth of late '50s humbuckers and vintage single-coils, and USA-made electronics. Adjust the character of the sound with two volume potentiometers, two push/pull tone controls (split-coil) and a three-position pickup switch. Stable tuning is guaranteed by the strings' anchorage in vintage-design PRS mechanisms and a two-piece zinc-plated headstock with brass stones and an aluminum pickguard.
The instrument comes in a premium gig bag.
