The mahogany body of the S2 Custom 24 FR Fire Red Bursts, with its distinctive PRS double-cut design, is adorned with a spectacular flamed maple top backed by a color-matched finish and gloss nitro finish. Distinctly beveled body edges promote overall playing ergonomics. A rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-four frets is glued to a mahogany neck with a Pattern Thin profile. Position markers in the form of mother-of-pearl bird silhouettes facilitate orientation on the fingerboard.
New to the 2024 model series are 85/15 pickups and electronics made in the USA. Adjust the character of the sound with volume and tone controls and a five-position pickup switch that offers split-coil configurations at positions 2 and 4. The guitar's sound will stand out in a wide range of musical genres.
Tuning stability is guaranteed by the string mounting in the locking mechanism (PRS Low Mass Locking), which prevents unwanted string movement, and the company's patented tremolo. The guitar comes in a gig bag.
