PRS Custom 24 FR Fire Smokeburst

The Custom 24 "Floyd" Fire Smokeburst model catches the eye at first glance with its combination of an ergonomically shaped mahogany body with the typical PRS double cutaway and figured maple top with a cool wood grain. A one-piece maple neck with Pattern Thin profile is joined by an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-four frets. Orientation on the fingerboard is facilitated by the trademark PRS position markers in the form of mother-of-pearl bird silhouettes.

A pair of PRS \m/ (metal) humbuckers with high output signal provides the guitar with a rich dynamic sound with great articulation across the entire frequency spectrum, which will especially please players of modern rock and various metal offshoots. Sound settings can be adjusted via the volume potentiometer, tone diaphragm and five-position pickup switch, which offers split-coil humbucker (coil-split) configurations at positions 2 and 4 - specifically a combination of a coil humbucker and neck single-coil at position 2, and a pure single-coil setup at position 4.

The strings are mounted in PRS Phase III tuning machines with wing buttons in a new design inspired by the wingspan of the pearl inlay of the bird of prey at the twelfth fret. The "wing button" pegs are primarily lighter than the metal mechanics on older models and allow the instrument to resonate longer. Also worth mentioning is the original Floyd Rose tremolo made from high quality steel. Stable tuning even with frequent use of the tremolo lever is guaranteed by the locks on the zero fret.

The guitar comes in a hardshell case.
