Compressor and Sustainer

Pigtronix Philosophers Tone

Guitar Effect / HN230016
Philosopher's Tone is one of the guitar effects that decided to put an end to the crappy guitar sound once and for all. It is a compact pedal compressor/sustainer that will give every string and tone optimal sound and beautifully clean long sustain. In addition to the standard Volume and Sustain knobs, it offers a Blend knob to adjust the ratio of processed signal to dry signal, so you won't lose natural attack and the sound stays beautifully musical. The Treble knob can boost or attenuate the treble by 6dB in the 2kHZ band.

The pedal is wired as a true bypass and offers an internal voltage of 18V for maximum headroom - so even humbuckers with high output signals or line signals don't pose a problem for sound quality. A 9V adapter is used for power supply.

The American company Pigtronix produces pedal effects with an attractive space-inspired design. In the brand's offer you can find quite original innovative products, but also boxes inspired by pedal effects from the past. It's no wonder that Pigtronix products are popular with a wide range of musicians including celebrities such as Andy Summers (The Police), Vernon Reid (Living Colour), John Scofield, Victor Wooten, Billy Sheehan, Dweezil Zappa, Anthrax, Korn, RHCP and many more.
