Phil Jones BG 110 Basscub RD

The Bass Cub II from Phil Jones is a two-channel bass combo with up to 110 watts of power that fits easily in your backpack. This combo is the follow-up to the successful first Bass Cub model, which after two years of research takes the sound a step further. Compared to the first model, the Bass Cub II gives you, for example, faster response, greater dynamic range, lower harmonic distortion and better sonic stability.

The combo features two independent channels - the first channel has a combined XLR/6.3 mm Jack input and can therefore be used with both an instrument and a microphone, while the second channel has a traditional 6.3 mm instrument input. Each channel has its own volume potentiometer and three-band equalizer. In addition, the top panel also features a switchable limiter, an aux input with adjustable volume, a headphone output for undisturbed practice and a master volume potentiometer.

The combo is fitted with a pair of special 5" NeoPower speakers, which are designed from the ground up to be able to perfectly preserve the typical bass sound that Phil Jones amplifiers are famous for, despite their compact size. This gives the combo a wide frequency range, faster response and, most importantly, preserves the natural sound of your instrument, which is great for both delicate playing and crisp slap techniques.

Of course, there's also a balanced XLR DI output for convenient recording, a line output and a tuner output. On the underside, you'll find a handy handle that also serves as a support for better sound projection when the combo is placed on the floor. If required, the combo is compatible with the Phil Jones PB-300 active speaker, which when plugged in gives you a stack with a total output of up to 350 watts.
