You'll always recognize Ovation acoustic guitars at first sight. They have a typical arched body made of a special Lyrachord material. This is not only very durable, but also provides the guitar with sufficient volume and acoustic strengths. In addition, it is ergonomically shaped so that the guitar fits well in your hand.
The Celebrity Standard series offers electroacoustic guitars in a more traditional design. The front of the Celebrity Standard Exotic CS28P-RG is made of laminated flake maple with a distinctive wood grain enhanced by the Caribbean Blue/Natural Burst finish. The rest of the body is an arched, narrow body (Super Shallow) made of hi-tech Lyrachord material, which, together with the reduced X-type ribbing of the soundboard, maximizes volume and all positive acoustic effects. A 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard is glued to the mahogany neck. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by pearl (Abalone) position dots.
The strings are mounted in the ovangkol fingerboard and in the company's sealed die-cast mechanics. The instrument's stylish design is accentuated by an imitation mother-of-pearl rosette and ivory body binding.
The guitar is equipped with an Ovation Slimline CP100 pickup and an OP-4CT preamp with three-band EQ and built-in tuners.
