You'll always recognize Ovation acoustic guitars at first sight. They have a typical arched body made of a special Lyrachord material. This is not only very durable, but it also provides the guitar with sufficient volume and acoustic strengths. In addition, it is ergonomically shaped so that the guitar fits well in your hand.
The current Balladeer models with a more traditional design carry on the legacy of the original 1960s model range, but the overall craftsmanship stands firmly in the present day. The 12-string 2751AX-5-G's front plate is made from solid AA-quality Sitka spruce. The rest is a deep contour arched body made from hi-tech Lyrachord material, which, together with the reduced X-type ribbing of the soundboard, maximises volume and all positive acoustic effects.
Glued to the five-piece mahogany and maple neck is a 20-fret ebony fingerboard. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by position dots made of imitation mother-of-pearl. The strings are mounted in an ebony fingerboard and chrome-plated company die-cast mechanics. The stylish design of the instrument is accentuated by an inlaid rosette and ivory body binding.
The guitar is equipped with OP-PRO electronics with three-band equalizer, built-in tuner and Ovation OCP-1K pickup.
