TAPE ECHO NDD-7 is a stereo delay pedal from NUX's Verdugo Series that will please fans of more complex pedal effects. Basically, it is an homage to the old Japanese Space Echo tape echo from 1974. The TAPE ECHO NDD-7 offers a combination of seven virtual tape heads and reverb (spring-loaded) that sound realistic thanks to Core-Image technology. The controls mostly determine the shape of the tape echo (bass, treble, duration - with tap tempo function up to 1600 ms, number of repeats, intensity), the Select control selects between combinations of virtual tape heads, pressing it takes you to secondary functions (Saturation, Wow, Flutter, Kill Dry, Expression). The box doesn't forget to simulate tape wear and other minor imperfections that belong to tape echoes.
TAPE ECHO NDD-7 also offers tap footswitch (tap tempo function), 40 seconds of stereo looper, mono/stereo output, input for external expression pedal (control of Time, Repeat, Level parameters), firmware update via USB and MIDI I/O. A 9V adapter is required to power the effect. A 3.5mm TRS to 5pin MIDI adapter is included.
