Nux JTC DRUM & LOOP PRO NDL-5

The JTC Drum & Loop PRO (NDL-5) from Nux is an advanced looper and drum machine with a simple control panel that houses a generous 6 hours of recording capacity and 256 memory slots for storing your loops. All basic looping functions (record, play, overdub, undo, redo, stop, clear) are handled by the right footswitch, while the left footswitch is used to control the rhythm section of the pedal. The integrated drum machine offers you 40 rhythmic schemes in different genres (pop, rock, blues, metal and more) and two tempo markings (4/4, 3/4). Press the footswitch while playing a given scheme to add a rhythmic fill that lasts until the end of the measure.

The looper also offers various Start and Stop modes to make recording and loop tracking easier - in addition to the normal operation, where the looper performs a record/stop action when you press the footswitch, there's also an Auto-recording mode that starts recording with the first strike of the strings, a Fine Stop mode that stops the loop at the end of the phrase, and a Fade Out mode that lets the recording decay smoothly before stopping. There's also a One Shot function that plays the recording once and then stops it, which is ideal for when you want to jam with a longer track, either your own or an imported one (the device supports importing backing tracks in .wav 24 bit 44.1 kHz format).

On the rear panel, you'll find one mono input and two mono outputs, which can be used either for stereo connection to two guitars or for sending the signal directly to a mixing desk or PA (for these purposes, the box is equipped with a speaker simulation). A frequency adjustment function is also included to ensure you get a true and dynamic drum and guitar sound at all times. The box also features a Micro-B USB interface for importing backing audio and updating firmware, and a connector for an external footswitch (Nux NMP-2, not included). A 9V adapter (not included) is required for power supply.
