The JTC DRUM & LOOP PRO NDL-5 is a looper with a separate automatic drummer section, six hours of recording time and 256 loop memories. It offers independent controls for the looper, with the left footswitch controlling the recording, layering, start/stop functions as well as the Smart TAP function, which automatically detects whether you want to control the looper functions or set the tempo of the drum accompaniment. The looper operates in two recording modes - Record and Play and Record and Overdub. The drum machine has 40 different patterns available in Pop, Rock, Blues, Metal and other styles in 3/4 and 4/4 time.
Looper also offers Start (Normal Recording, Auto Recording) and Stop (Normal Stop, Fine Stop, Fade Out) modes where you set how the phrase will start and end. Another mod, One Shot, is suitable for playing into backing tracks without looping (backing tracks in 24-bit 44.1 kHz .wav format).
Within the I/O you can count on two outputs (stereo connection), a Micro-B USB interface for recording backing audio (WAV format) and a connector for an external NUX NMP-2 controller/footswitch (not included). A 9V adapter (not included) is required for power supply.
The relatively new NUX brand offers a wide range of analogue and digital products for musicians (guitar effects and multieffects, amplifiers and accessories).
