The CR electronic cello very faithfully produces the subtle sonorities and precise tone of its acoustic predecessor. The craftsmanship and superior design are features that go hand in hand with the overall concept of this instrument.
The body and neck are made of solid maple. Traditional elements such as the menzura and neck shaping are retained. On the other hand, the smaller body brings more comfortable access to the upper registers, and the neck bracing allows individual adjustment of the finish according to the string thickness and playing technique of the player.
Piezo components respond well to dynamic bowing and fingerstyle playing. Frequency sensing is further aided by a three-position switch, which can be used to adjust the pickup engagement to suit the playing style for pizzicato, arco with a full frequency range and arco with a more natural acoustic tone. The volume control allows you to select between active and passive modes. Active mode provides a modern sound with an extended frequency range, passive mode offers a more traditional acoustic sound. A two-band equalizer (Treble, Bass) further expands the instrument's sonic possibilities, and the headphone output comes in handy for home practice or warming up before a gig.
