A GRANDiose experience
Kawai's superbly balanced keyboard with hammer-action mechanics won't let you down in percussive playing or even the most delicate pianissimo. Triple sensors sense the movements of the hammered-cock mechanics instead of the keys, so you can enjoy the same experience of playing a concert grand piano in the comfort of your home or at a concert. The Ivory Touch surface is just the icing on the cake.
Piano section
The piano section offers a choice of 10 grand pianos, 9 upright pianos, 10 electric pianos, Clavinet, digital pianos and other sounds from the exclusive Nord Piano Library. You can easily change the sounds using the Nord Sound Manager software. A total of 2 GB is available. And that's quite a collection.
Of course, there is precise emulation of the mutual resonances of the individual strings as well as the supplied three-pedal system (sustain, sostenuto, soft).
Sample Synth Section
No arrangement will be a problem. In this section you can choose from strings, synths, choirs, brass or instruments like Mellotron and Chamberlin.
The Sample Synth section features controls for important attack, decay/release or filter/velocity parameters as well as buttons for quick selection of sounds. In addition, using the Nord Sample Editor, it's no problem to create your own samples.
Effect unit
The effects unit contains a collection of high-quality stereo effects with quick controls. Among the effects you will find Tremolo, Phaser, Chorus, Pan, Wah, RM, Flanger, Vibe, EQ, Delay and Reverb with three reverb types. You can assign them freely to the Piano or Synth section.
You'll also enjoy compatibility with Nord Piano Monitors, which can be installed directly on the rear panel (monitors and stands are not included).
